Beginning to plan

Starting in early May, 2010, my husband Jerry and I are going to cycle from our home in Clayton, California, to Flippin, Arkansas. My parents Joe and Lou Hatcher are going to be our support team, driving the RV, cooking for us, washing our clothes, and picking us up when we just can't go on any farther. Without their help this trip would not be possible for us.

We are in our early 50's and have never done anything like this before, so this is our big adventure.

I have started doing some training on the bike, trying to go farther and consecutive days in order to be able to cycle the 70 mile days we hope to average. Not always easy to train for when working a 40 hour work week. I'll post some of my training and planning for the trip as we go along.
